"WHAT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TODAY WILL SOON BECOME YOUR WARM-UP"
RAFAEL CUNHA
FITNESS COACH
MY EXPERIENCE
I have a degree in Physical Education and a post-graduate diploma in the physiology of exercise, where I developed my skills as a personal trainer and built a deep understanding the human body in its whole complexity.
Alongside personal training, I have worked extensively as a Pilates instructor, helping people with bad backs; hernias; disc protrusion; sciatic nerve issues; bad posture and other challenges, to improve their flexibility, general health and overall fitness.
In my mission to understand even more about these types of body issues, in 2016 I completed a Tui Na massage course, and now regularly assist my clients in recovering from training, as well as managing muscle and joint issues, using these massage techniques.
My career has also involved leading capoeira groups, social projects, organising boot camps, sports’ championships, as well as founding my own running group, helping clients to prepare for and participate in running competitions.
HOW I WORK
I take a tailored and individual approach to every client I train, respecting each person’s specific needs and limitations. Before developing a training programme, I do a complete physical assessment and observe existing imbalances in your muscular skeletal system. From there, I aim to strengthen the right muscles to bring back the balance that you need, while always prioritising the perfect execution of each movement and exercise.
